Established in 1997, the Hong Kong Rope Skipping Association, China (HKRSA) is the governing body for rope skipping in Hong Kong, representing over 20 member clubs and a growing community of 1,700+ members. In 2020, HKRSA formally joined the International Jump Rope Union (IJRU), the world's sole recognized international governing body. We are the only recognized member entity in Hong Kong for IJRU, and also the Asian Jump Rope Union (AJRU), a member of the Olympic Council of Asia.

 

 

 

Our Mission as a National Governing Body As the leader of the sport locally, we are committed to the popularization and development of rope skipping across all age groups through school and community programs. A core pillar of our mandate is the selection and professional training of the "Hong Kong, China Representative Team," providing our elite athletes with the pathway to compete on the global stage.

We maintain a robust professional infrastructure with over 200 registered coaches and 180 trained judges. In a historic 2024 milestone, HKRSA was invited to participate in peripheral competitions and performance programs during the Paris Olympic Games, marking the Hong Kong team's debut on the Olympic stage alongside the world's top athletes.
